1. Introduction

Cledger is a mobile application developed by I2TC Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that information.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Cledger is designed as a fully offline, local-first application. We do not collect, transmit, receive, or have access to any of your data.

2. Information the App Handles

Cledger allows you to enter and store the following types of information on your device:

Personal Information:

Full name
Phone number
Email address
Home address
Home country
Tax ID or Social Security Number (SSN)
Bank account details (IBAN and BIC/SWIFT code)

Business Information:

Business name
Business address
Business email
Business Tax ID
Business bank account details (IBAN and BIC/SWIFT code)

Work and Financial Data:

Work day entries (dates, day rates, bonuses, companies, countries, positions, notes, payment status, payment dates)
Tax day records (dates, countries, notes)
Expense records (dates, amounts, categories, countries, companies, descriptions)
Invoice records (company details, billing amounts, service descriptions, dates)
Yearly work targets and fiscal year settings

All of this information is entered voluntarily by you. The App does not require you to provide any of this information to function, and you choose what to enter.

3. How Your Data is Stored

All data you enter into Cledger is stored exclusively on your device using a local database. Your data is not uploaded to any server, cloud service, or external database operated by us.

Important: Your data is stored locally without additional encryption beyond what your device's operating system provides. This means your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, such as your lock screen PIN, password, fingerprint, or face recognition, and your device's own disk encryption. We recommend keeping your device secured with a strong passcode to protect your information.

4. Cloud Backups (Android and iPhone)

Your device's operating system may automatically include Cledger's data in cloud backups:

Android devices may back up app data to Google Drive as part of the system's Auto Backup feature.
iPhones may include app data in iCloud backups.

These are standard features of your phone's operating system, not features of Cledger. We do not initiate, control, or have access to these backups. The data in these backups goes to your own Google or Apple account, not to us.

You can manage or disable these backups at any time through your device's settings. Please consult your device manufacturer's documentation for instructions on how to manage automatic backups.

5. Exported Files

Cledger allows you to export your data in two ways:

CSV Backup Files:

When you download a backup from the Settings screen, the App creates a CSV (comma-separated values) file containing your personal information, work entries, tax records, expenses, and yearly targets. This file is saved in plain, unencrypted text that can be opened and read by anyone who has access to the file.

Invoice PDFs:

When you generate an invoice, the App creates a PDF document that may include your full name, address, phone number, email, Tax ID, IBAN, BIC/SWIFT code, and billing details for the recipient company.

Your Responsibility: Once you save or share an exported file (CSV backup or invoice PDF), that file is outside the control of the App. You are solely responsible for storing, sharing, and protecting any files you export from Cledger. We strongly recommend keeping exported files in a secure location and sharing them only with trusted parties.

6. Data Collection and Transmission

Cledger does not:

Send any of your data to any server or cloud service
Use analytics, tracking, or crash reporting tools
Collect usage statistics or device information
Share your data with any third party
Display advertisements

All data processing happens entirely on your device. We have no ability to access, view, retrieve, or recover your data.

7. Third-Party Services

Cledger does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services. The App operates fully offline and does not make network requests of any kind.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. Cledger does not automatically delete your data at any time.

You can delete your data at any time by:

Using the "Clear All Data" option in the App's Settings screen, which permanently removes all work entries, tax records, expense records, invoices, personal information, business information, and yearly targets.
Uninstalling the App from your device, which removes all locally stored data.

Please note: If your device has previously backed up Cledger's data to Google Drive or iCloud (see Section 4), uninstalling the App or clearing data within the App does not automatically remove data from those cloud backups. You would need to manage cloud backups separately through your device's settings.

9. Children's Privacy

Cledger is a financial record-keeping and invoicing tool designed for working adults. The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or store information from children under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use this App.

10. Security

While we do not have access to your data, we recommend the following practices to keep your information safe:

Use a strong passcode, fingerprint, or face recognition to lock your device
Keep your device's operating system up to date
Store exported backup files and invoice PDFs in a secure location
Be cautious when sharing exported files with others
Regularly back up your data using the App's built-in backup feature in case of device loss or damage

11. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not have access to it, you have full and complete control over your information at all times. You can view, modify, export, or delete your data directly within the App without needing to contact us.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
